It’s about seeing a shiny penny on the street but leaving it there, so someone else can have a lucky day. It’s about the rhythm of coffee shop conversation and rain tapping on the windowsill. It’s about the unexplained and indescribable beauty of empty stages and Christmas lights and three o’clock in the morning. It’s about messages drawn on the sidewalk right before a storm, gone tomorrow, but here today. It’s about the things that go unnoticed, the little things that make life worth living, the things that make every day amazing. ♥

so here’s the thing about valentine’s day
i know a lot of people think of it as “single’s awareness day” and get super depressed, but look around. people wear red and hearts. hearts on their sleeves. they carry around flowers, gotten or to give. and you just know that wonderful things are happening at every moment. someone is saying i love you and i love you too. someone is asking someone out for the first time - yes or no, it’s still a major milestone, and i applaud them. someone is getting engaged, getting married, celebrating a 20 year anniversary. things are starting - dates, relationships, lives.
