How do you know which things are worth saying?
that’s always the tricky part.
i think if you feel like you have to say something, you should say it. if you’re guilty, clear your conscience. if you’re scared, remember that there’s always the possibility that the person you’re talking to will say something to make it all better.
and a general note: kind words and pleases and thank yous and i love yous are always worth saying.

so here's the thing about valentine's day
i know a lot of people think of it as “single’s awareness day” and get super depressed, but look around. people wear red and hearts. hearts on their sleeves. they carry around flowers, gotten or to give. and you just know that wonderful things are happening at every moment. someone is saying i love you and i love you too. someone is asking someone out for the first time - yes or no, it’s still a major milestone, and i applaud them. someone is getting engaged, getting married, celebrating a 20 year anniversary. things are starting - dates, relationships, lives.
get excited, people.
